Item sent for delivery via Royal mail. Due for delivery on 23rd then promised redelivery on 24th only to receive a note through the letterbox on the 27th to say item is too large and I have to collect between 7am and 9am and closed a Wednesday. Absolute shambles.

Easiest thing to set up everything digital, stays at a specific humidity % and will come on and off to keep it there +/- 5%. Big enough water tank and nice easy to use remote. Stylish and little blue led to indicate the water level.

Unable to fill the water holder as it was much smaller than 4.5ltrs. Waiting to send it back as I am self isolated and the manufacturer is telling me I have to make my own arrangements to return. Probably my worst Amazon purchase. Very disappointed.

The sensor doesn't work really good so every time I have to reset the machine. I set the humidity at 70% but often it doesn't switch on automatically. The same when it should be shut, I found the humidity at 90% In my room so switched off manually. A part of that is really silent and a push a lot of vapour quickly. Very useful for plants that are happy even with high humidity.

The product itself is good, and worked fine for almost 2 months. However, it has suddenly just stopped working. Will not turn on at all! Tried fully drying it out etc etc...but still doesn’t work! Would be happy to change my review, but I don’t know how to apply for a refund/replacement. Not very happy!

I was very happy with this humidifier at first, it is easy to use, it's very quiet and most importantly it does work. Or at least it did. It started leaking first, then the leaking stopped and it was making this weird sound until it completely stopped working. I've had it for 10 months and it was working properly for about 6 months. Baring in mind I didn't use it that often over summer. I do not recommend this product, it is not worth the money at all. Rubbish quality. I am disappointed.

I have been using this humidifier in our bedroom for just over a week and now feel in a position to give an idea of the pros and cons.I use the machine mainly on auto for about 7 hours each night and that seems to work for me. The remote control works well from one end of the room to the other (about 11 feet) so I can operate the machine once I get into bed. The vapour stream has puzzled our cat a bit! It is quiet enough for us to have undisturbed sleep. It has needed filling every 3 days or so and I use the mist flow on full power. I have had a kidney transplant and suffer from dry itchy skin, especially in Winter when the heating is on full. I also have dry eyes which I treat with various gels and drops. Both of those conditions have improved vastly since I have been using the humidifier. I haven't needed to use body cream anymore to help ease the itching and my eyes are definitely less gritty when I wake up. Those are huge plusses for me.Addressing the common complaints about the machine leaking, I think I know the reason. There is a blue sealing ring inside the large screw cap which you unscrew to fill up the water reservoir. When unscrewing it this morning it fell down the cap as I lifted it out of the reservoir, almost disappearing into the reservoir. I managed to stop it falling and pushed it back in place. However had it disappeared into the reservoir, or had it been not seated properly on the cap when I screwed it back on, no doubt at all it would leak. This is a design flaw that needs to be addressed by Puremate, and that customers meanwhile need to know about so that they can prevent it happening. My husband is going to look at the possibility of using some sealant to keep the seal in place but I am at least aware of it now and can prevent it leaking.This is the only reason for the dropping of a star. As long as people are aware of the problem I would recommend this machine for dry skin and eyes.

This thing is a lifesaver, keeps my room at 60% humidity for me and my iguana. He loves it being able to free roam now with the humidity staying up for him and I’m feeling the benefits of it in the mornings with easier breathing and no dry mouth and throat, I would imagine my lungs are loving it too, pick yourself one up you won’t regret it!

This is great when running on automatic. The way I use it has it running for days before the tank runs out. Sometime the touch control isnt intuative .

Excellent product. I have COPD, and this has helped my breathing emencely in this hot weather we have had. Also, you can add essential oils to this which could be a big help with colds in the winter. It is silent when running and the mist is very fine. Have already recommended this to someone who has asthma as it is like a nebuliser but without the horrible mask on one's face.

Absoloutely great in this hot weather! Although cost more than other models, we felt the bigger water tank was a good feature. Helped son's eyes with his hayfever and allergies, the essential oil tray is excellent extra, and will be useful throughout the yeqr. Expensive but a good item. Happy.

Bought this unit to help with my wife's sleep pattern, she suffers with COPD and I thought this Humidifier could help, which I believe it did at first, however then it developed a water leak, I had intended to return the unit for investigation, though upon reading this firms 't's &c;'s', for a one year warranty decided against it, as they expect the customer to pay postage and insurance 'both' ways, and obtain returns information, which I think should be already with the goods, obviously a ploy to deter people from returning the goods, I note that the manufacturer gives the same 'comment' to all one star reviews.

I've had no problems with leakage like some other shoppers.You need to be careful when removing the water tank because the bottom gets wet and will drip a bit (because, surprise surprise, there's water inside). But it doesn't leak.You definitely need to follow the cleaning instructions to stop it smelling like a fish tank after a few days.

The most important reasons for choosing this humidifier was to improve the air quality in our bedroom and the description of it's quiet operation.Unfortunately we found that a short while after switching on it emits a buzzing sound that can be heard two rooms away and it is impossible to sleep with it on. Is this how it is supposed to sound or is this a fault.

Recently purchased them as for the past 2 years I've had sinus issues, taken a lot of medications from doctors and they say surgical may have to be the next step but as a shot in the dark i researched about humidifiers and found this one in terms of design it looks good and works quietly so far haven't felt better but while i was in mindset of purchasing this item i read a few people had issues with the water leaking, today I did check to see if everything was good and it was lucky that i did as the cap is screwed on tightly and correctly, another few more hours i think it would have leaked out. Something to be careful of in future.

Product was recieved in a damaged box and already opened, the product itself had cosmetic scratches on it and the plastic cover inside the box was already coming off before I ever opened the box, very disappointed and i am definitely returning this product

Such a shame that I have to return this humidifier as it is very quiet and with essential oils, it smelt very nice. However, it leaks big time!

initially worked fine, then the puddles of water started to happen!it's ruined one wooden bedside table as woke to find a huge pool of water.Surely they know they have a problem with them after so many negative review????AND... there is even a HOLE on the bottom to let water out - WHY????

We got this to replace an older PureMate 702 humidifier for our daughter’s bedroom. It’s a much more compact design for a similar tank capacity, seems quieter and has a more accurate sensor for humidity. For much of the time, the auto mode works very well and automatically reduces the humidity output once the air humidity rises above 50%, which means we can just leave it running overnight as the output automatically adjusts depending on the conditions. In a flat where the air can be very dry particularly when it gets cold outside, it has worked wonders.
