Great cameraRobust easy to handle and wonderful picture quality
2cv fan clubnice consumer level camera with plenty of advanced features, watch out though as lens mount is the cheap plastic type not metal on the kit lens provided. Canon do not make a battery pack for this model either if you want to add a grip you will have to go 3rd party.
mickspixEase of use and good tutorials, I've moved up a gear in photography
Alan M. ClarkeNot as impressed with this as I was expecting. It's a reasonable camera but the build quality is nowhere near as good as my 5 year old canon 700D . And it certainly isn't dust proof. Had to have mine professionally cleaned out within a fortnight of purchasing it (even the viewfinder was full of junk) still not 100% clear now. And I hadn't taken it anywhere dusty at all. The photos are nice and crisp and accurate but the battery dies much quicker than my 700D and my neewer flash has problems connecting.
KarradeHad this camera more than 1 years. Working really good. Highly recommended
Dovile TugaudyteA great replacement/upgrade to my 1200D. Can’t fault it.
RoyNeeds a bigger battery, but great camera overall
alvin braniganCrisp imiges nice
Fred jacquesI purchased this camera to replace my EOS 450D for my 50th birthday, visiting Scotland, it certainly had some use
Overall am very happy with this camera over my previous, picture quality is amazing, I've never taken my camera out of auto mode so decided to use Manual, TV and AV Modes, use it properly. Have taken some awesome pictures with quite a few duds. Also purchased a Pano Head, Tripod, ND and polarising filters. Have taken some amazing panoramics
Cons
Carrying it around I found myself catching several of the buttons, my previous canon lens failed after a couple of years and so purchased a Tamron equivalent. Had no issues with it on my previous camera. I did find however that on the new camera photos had a red and green outline. After zooming to about 35mm this vanished. It has compatibility issues and Canon weren't interested in assisting.
When I come to sell my old camera will be selling the Tamron lens with it and buying another Canon.
Overall am very happy

billersandReplacement for a previous model. So much more functionality. Great camera but will take some learning.
Mr. Ray SA perfect camera for starting getting deeper into photography. Nice ergonomics, good picture quality and the kit lens that came with the camera already give a lot of interesting possibilities. It's almost the same hardware as the 80D, but it's way cheaper.
Guilherme LucioWhilst I am pleased with the camera, the lens came without the hood or a storage bag. It would appear that Canon want me to pay for something that is essentially part of the kit.
Not impressed.
Was even less impressed when I found out what Canon charge for the small piece of plastic (the lens hood £62.49 from Canon). Also circa £50 for the lens pouch, REALLY?
When I bought my last Nikon kit, the lens came in a cloth bag and surprise, surprise a lens hood.
Honestly, it seems a bit stupid on Canon's part to be so cheap as to leave those essential items out of the kit. Hence, the picture quality is iffy 'flare and ghosting'.....
Will take a look at Nikon next time.

Claire PearceLovely camera this is. Very happy with it
AbreuHad a 750d before which was stolen along with other gear. Glad I got it, nice body, feature rich, and while not a full sized sensor camera, not the cheapest camera, but am glad I purchased it
